Kodie Webb (he/him)

Coaches Saturday practice

Kodie was a competitive swimmer for 10 years as a teenager, competing in events up to Australian Age Championships level. As an adult, Kodie resumed swimming in 2014 when he became a member of the Glams. Since this time he has enjoyed being an active member of the club including being a regular swimmer at training sessions, competing at Masters events both within Australia and internationally, contributing to the committee and now as a coach.

Kodie enjoys assisting swimmers to meet their goals whether that be to do their best in competitions, gain fitness or improve their technique. He takes pleasure in passing on what he has learnt about swimming throughout many years involvement and aims to deliver sessions which cater for swimmers with different motivations and of all abilities.

Anke Kohfahl (she/her)

Coaches Wednesday practice

Anke is one of the founding members of this exceptionally supportive and fun team. She moved in 2000 from Germany to Australia to live and joined the Glamourhead Sharks in 2001. She found a welcoming community amongst her fellow swimmers which helped her settle in her new home.

Anke has held a number of different positions on the committee and decided her next opportunity to give back to the team was to become a coach. She completed the Masters Swim Accreditation in June 2024 and is loving this new responsibility.

Anke approaches her role as a coach with a focus on technique, she is passionate about providing an environment that is welcoming to all and strives to get to know each individual swimmer so she can support them to achieve their individual goals, whether they be preparing for competitions or improving fitness.

Dieneke (Dee) Walker learnt to swim when she was 3 years old. Since then, she has competed in swimming events from 25m to 10km. She loves the lasting friendships which develop amongst people who swim together.

Alan Godfrey (he/him)

Guest Coach

Alan has swum most of his life. Some of his early memories include training in the Forbes Carlile squad with Shane Gould, Karen and Narelle Moras, and others; he was in the slow lane!

Alan has seen many changes in masters swimming, starting from the early Aussi (Australian Union of Senior Swimmers International) days in Sydney with Coogee-Randwick in the early '80's, and then Powerpoints in the late 1980's here in Melbourne.

Alan has been an active member of all the clubs that he has joined; and has been a member of The Glamourhead Sharks since 2009, first swimming with the Glams at the Outgames in Copenhagen in July 2009;   He has won the Glamourheads Outstanding Swimmer award 5 times.

Alan has been a registered Masters Swim coach since 2007, and has coached at several clubs, being awarded MSV Coach of the year for 2015.  He started coaching with the Glamourheads in 2015; and has also coached the Powerpoints from 2016 to 2022.  As a coach Alan tries to prepare swimmers and help them to accomplish their goals.  He is very technique oriented; the idea being that improvements come with better technique, as well as reduced injury, and improved fitness.
